Who is Zobo

WHO IS ZOBO

Zobo is a juxtaposed character – embodying the marriage of seemingly contradictory characteristics and outlooks. It is the idea of being comfortable in unfamiliar situations and coming out learned and admired; being able to 'walk amongst kings nor lose the common touch', as Rudyard Kipling has intoned. 

 

It is an idea of being fiercely disciplined but strong in the pursuit of indulgence. Moderation and status quo are not absolutes. They are to be shunned when convenient. It is a modernist outlook poised on a foundation of traditionalism. 

 

It is being comfortable in the forest or outback with a crusty denim shirt swilling whatever is available on tap, to being equally comfortable dining with dignitaries in proper black-tie sipping martinis (strictly gin, Monkey-47 preferably). Spending large on artisan clothing that last but rejecting “luxury” fashion, and in doing so lamenting fashion but lauding style.

 

The contradictory lifestyle Zobo personifies enlarges an apocryphal perception and only those that are not strangers know that truth is far from said perception. As they say, those that know, know. And hopefully dear reader, if you are here and still reading, you know. 

 

But most importantly, it is taking articles that belong on the opposing ends of a spectrum and bringing them together in a way that makes sense – that is the juxtaposition of Zobo.
