WHAT IS JOLLY ROGERS?
The Jolly Rogers is the infamous Navy Strike Fighter Squadron VFA103 - known for the skull and cross-bone painted on the tails of the many fighter planes that flew under the squadron banner.
The Jolly Rogers obtained the call-sign “victory”, a befitting monicker for the ruthlessly tenacious skill the aviators that filled the seats of the many fighter planes in the squadron’s past. It is this pivotal figure, the naval aviator, that embodies some values of ARCHIVES OF ZOBO.
JOLLY ROGERS & ZOBO?
The ZOBO JOLLY ROGERS bag is rooted in this ethos, as it is ultra practical, with elements of effortless charisma. The flaps which were originally meant for aviator gloves are now for the laptops and lip-glosses of the ZOBO globe trotter. Short handles were once a result of military efficiencies, but are now an integral part of the bags silhouette.
The characteristics that make up the Jolly Rogers aviators are those embodied in those who buy ZOBO: steadfast in determination but unflappable under pressure, precision in attack but fluid in approach. These are the very qualities that Tom Wolfe referred to as “the Right Stuff” … and now ZOBO’s STUFF.
We value the tenacious qualities of our clients, and thus produced a product which reflects your lifestyle and ambitions. At ZOBO, we use the phrase 'wear to death', as a way to encourage adventure and memory making; to ensure our pieces are both a statement in your wardrobe, and blends in through its dependable quality and style.
